Abstract :In this study; max. noise levels of important places in terms of noise of Sakarya city center were measured and compared with related to noise regulations. In this respect, specific measurement points at 38 different areas were selected for noise measurement at noise-sensitive locations insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(hospital, school etc.,);, at high-traffic crossroads and at main roads at the city centre. In order to determine the max. noise levels of these points, the measurements were taken within different times of the day over a period of one month between 07: 00 in the morning and 01: 00 at night. Approximately 700 measurement results were obtained from all the measurement points. As a result of the measurement and assessment, it was seen that the max. level of noise value at the most of measurement points at Sakarya city center exceeded the noise value of 65 dBA insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Turkish Noise Regulation); and 55 dBA insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WHO); during the morning, evening and night times.
