Investigation of The Attitudes of Sports Sciences Faculty Students towards Distance Education with Web Pedagogic Content Information

Abstract :The purpose of this research is to examine the web pedagogical content knowledge of the students studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences and their attitudes towards distance education in terms of various variables. 355 randomly selected students studying at Erciyes University Faculty of Sports Sciences participated in the study voluntarily. As data collection tools in the research; Attitudes towards Distance Education Scale developed by Ağır (2007), the Web Pedagogical Content Knowledge scale developed by Lee, Tsai, and Chang (2008) and adapted to Turkish by Horzum (2011), and personal information form prepared by the researcher were used. Statistical analysis of the obtained data was done with SPSS 20.0 package program. Personal information about the candidates, total inventory scores, and factor scores are given by determining frequency (f) and percentage (%). To compare the scores obtained from the scales, independent t-test statistics were used according to gender, internet access status, computer status, taking information technology courses, and having experienced distance education before; One-way analysis of variance (Lsd) test statistics were used in comparisons of class, general weighted grade point average, place of residence, and how do you find distance education opportunities at your university. In conclusion; While no statistically significant difference could be determined according to the gender variable of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences; class, grade point average, place of residence, internet access status, computer status, taking information technology courses, previous experience in distance education, how do you find the distance education opportunities of your university? A significant difference was determined according to the variables. At the same time, when the correlation and regression results were examined, it was seen that there was a negative significant relationship between web pedagogical content knowledge and the limitations of distance education, and it explained 14.1% of the total variance. Students who have sufficient web content knowledge have more positive thoughts toward distance education. Students can be more effective in focusing on online courses thanks to their sufficient web content knowledge. In this way, it is thought that students can become more successful individuals academically.Keywords : Web pedagojik içerik, uzaktan eğitim, spor
