Abstract :Armed private security companies have recently become a method used by maritime companies to combat piracy, or attempted to do so if permitted by flag states. This issue has been regulated to a certain extent by the guiding regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), but there are still clarification issues such as liability, jurisdiction, sovereignty and insurance. On this page, the current situation has been identified and maintenance-related solutions have been researched.
