DETERMINATION OF THE CONTENT OF HYOSCYAMUS RETICULATUS SEEDS BY XRF METHOD AND ANTIBACTERIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ETHYL ALCOHOL EXTRACT

Abstract :Hyoscyamus reticulatus is a member of the Solanaceae family and is represented by six species in Turkey. Hyoscyamus species contain important tropane alkaloids, which have antispasmodic, anticholinergic, analgesic and sedative effects. In this study, we aimed to determinate content of Hyoscyamus reticulatus plant seed by XRF insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry); and investigate the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of H. reticulatus seed. Energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(XRF); spectrometry is one of the important instruments which used to determine the elemental and chemical composition of all types of liquids and solids, allows quick and accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of elements. In this study, content of H. reticulatus plant seeds were determined by XRF method; While the seeds have content rates % 1.98 K 2 O insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%1.65 K);, %1.22 P 2 O 5 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.53 P);, % 0.80 SO 3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(% 0.32 S);, % 0.49 CaO insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.35 Ca);, %0.26 Fe 2 O 3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values( %0.18 Fe);, %0.13 Cl, %0.11 MgO insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.07 Mg);, %0.10 ZnO insert ignore into journalissuearticles values( %0.08 Zn);, %0.06 MoO 3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values( %0.04 Mo);,%0.05 SiO 2 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.02 Si);, %0.02 Cu, %0.02 MnO insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%0.01 Mn);, NiO insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(67 ppm); and Al 2 O 3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(94 ppm); rates were determined at the ppm level. H. reticulatus seeds were extracted with for antibacterial activity test and Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Yersinia enterocolitica, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enteridis bacteria were used.
