Abstract :The airport passenger flow process is an integrated system in which passengers interact with more than one system and a failure in one of the systems can cause greater disruptions in the others due to time-related constraints. Airport operators evaluate the decisions to be taken and their results by using decision support systems in accordance with the airport management strategies by determining the potential congestion and related problems such as capacity limitations or equipment malfunctions. In this study, the passenger flow at the airport is handled in a system that covers all activities between the airport entrance and boarding. Discrete event simulation was used to evaluate the passenger flow and the performance of the activities in the related processes. The model consists of security screening, check-in, passport control and boarding processes. Within the scope of the proposed model, points with potential bottlenecks are evaluated according to IATA performance values. Hasan Polatkan Airport has been analyzed as a sample case. Keywords : Airport Management, Decision Support Systems, Simulation, Air Transportation, Airport Terminal Modelling
