Abstract :Özet Bu çalışmada, total protez kullanan ve klinik olarak `Atrofik Protez Stomatiti` insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(A.P.S.); ve `Hipertrofik Protez Stomatiti` insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(H.P.S.); bulgusu gösteren 64 hasta ve protez stomatiti bulgusu göstermeyen 33 hasta olmak üzere toplam 97 hasta incelenmiştir. Hastalarda; cinsiyet, kadın hastaların menopozda olup olmadıkları, yaş ortalamaları, protezlerin yaş ortalaması ve kaide plağının cinsi, üst protezde doku yüzeyindeki işlemler ve retansiyonu, stabilİtesi, protezlerin dikey boyutu, şellitis bulgusu, sentrik ilişki, sentrik oklüzyon, suni dişlerin oklüzal yüz aşımım gibi prote-tik parametreler saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, bu parametreler ile hastaların protezlerinden memnuniyet ilişkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Toplam 97 hastanın bulgularının incelenmesi sonucunda; cinsiyetin, üst protezin doku yüzeyinde çeşitli çizgi ve çıkıntıların yapılmasının protez stomatitinin et-yolojik faktörlerinden olabileceği; şellitis bulgusunun ise, dikey boyutu düşük ve özellikle A.P.S`li hastalarda daha çok görüldüğü ve protetik parametrelerin bozulmasıyla, protezlerden memnuniyetsizliğin arttığı saptanmıştır. Abstract In this study, 97 complete denture wearers in which 64 patients with clinical evidence of atrophic denture stomatitis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(A.P.S.); and hypertrophic denture stomatitis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(H.P.S.); and 33 complete denture wearers clinical signs of denture stomatitis were investigated. These patients were evaluated according to some parameters such as sex, menauposis, age average, duration of denture usage, type of denture base materials, the lines which were formed on the surface of the denture and retention stability, vertical dimension, cheilitis, centric occlusion, wear of die occlusal surfaces of artificial teeth. We also tried to find out a relation between these parameters and the satisfaction of patient. After evaluating the datas of 97 patients, we can assume that sex or the other factors like the lines on fitting surface oj the dentures may be the cause of the denture stomatitis. Cheilitis is mostly seen on thepatients who hasA.P.S. and loss of vertical dimension. It can be concluded that the discontent of the patients increases when the prosthetic parameters were changed.
