Abstract :ÖZET Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde üretilen çocuk diş fırçalarının kıl uçları SEM ile incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla dört değişik tip çocuk fırçasının herbirinden beşer adet olmak üzere toplam 20 adet diş fırçası ağızda kullanılmadan önce ve 20 adet diş fırçası da in vitro kullanım sonrası İncelenmiştir. SEM incelemesi sonucunda kıl uçlarının yuvarlatılmış kabul edilebileceği görüntüleri elde edilmekle birlikte, yapım hatalarına veya kullanım sonrası aşınmaya bağlı düzensizlikler de saptanmıştır. Bulguların değerlendirilmesiyle birlikte, kılların yapımına gerekli özenin gösterilmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır Anahtar sözcükler: Diş fırçası, yıpranma düzeyi, SEM ABSTRACT In this article, the tufts of the bristles of toothbrushes manufactured in our country were examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy. For this purpose, five of each four types of children toothbrushes which were not used in mouth and after used in vitro prior to our study were examined. According to the results of our Scanning Electron Microscopic examinations, the tufts were accepted round ended but some defects were also found regarding to manufactured mistakes and the abrasion of the tufts after the usage oj toothbrushes. The evaluation of data emphasized the importance of paying proper attention in manufacturing the bristles of toothbrushes Key words: Toothbrush, abrasion of tufts SEM.
