Abstract :Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı yabancı öğrencilerin yaşadıkları sorunların tanımlanmasıdır. Bu çalışma, ülkemize gelen ve gelecek olan öğrencilerin sorunlarının giderilebilmesi ve ülkemiz üniversitelerinde gelecekte daha fazla yabancı öğrenciye imkân sağlanması ile yabancı öğrenci potansiyelinin geliştirilebilmesine katkı sağlayabilir.   Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırmanın evrenini Konya ilindeki üniversitelerde okumakta olan yabancı öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem 109 kişiden oluşmuştur. Elde edilen veriler araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen 28 soruluk anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Anket formu literatür taramalarına ek olarak “odak grup görüşmeleri” yoluyla geliştirilmiştir.  Veri toplama işlemi Mayıs-Haziran 2016 tarihlerinde yapılmış olup veriler yüzdelik, ortalama ve standart sapma ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %61.5’i erkek, %54.1’i 21-25 yaş Aralığında, %52.3’ü Sosyal bilimler alanında öğrenim görmektedirler.  Katılımcı öğrencilerin % 43.1’i Ortadoğu bölgesinden ve %24.8’i Kafkaslar ve Orta Asya bölgesinden gelmektedir. Öğrencilerin %78.9’u öğrenci statüsü ile ülkemize gelmiş ve %90.8’i Türkiye’de herhangi bir kurumdan burs aldıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre yabancı öğrenciler %90’dan daha fazla bir oranla Üniversite personellerinden ve hocalarından ayrımcılık görmediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcılar öğrenci arkadaşlarından da %82.6 oranında ayrımcılık görmediklerini ifade etmişlerdir.  Sonuçlar: Yabancı öğrencilerin Türkiye’de yaşadıklarını ifade ettikleri en önemli sorun Türkçeyi anlama ve Türkçe ders izleme olarak görülmektedir. Yemekler, yabancı öğrenciler için orta düzeyli bir sorun olarak görülmüştür. Anahtar Kelimeler: Göç, Yabancı öğrenciler, Yabancı öğrenci sorunları Investigation of the Problems of Foreign University Students: Konya Examination ABSTRACT Purpose: The aim of this study is identification of the foreign students’ problems. This study can associate with to elimination of the problems of the present and coming students in the future in our country, to provide opportunity for more foreign students in our universities in the future and to develop foreign student potentials. Methods: The universe of this descriptive study consists of the foreign students studying at the universities in Konya province. The sample has been consisted of 109 people. The obtained data have been collected by a 28-item questionnaire developed by the researchers. The questionnaire, in addition to literature, has been developed by using information obtained by the “focus group interviews”. Collecting data process was done in May-June 2016. Data have been analyzed by frequencies, mean and standard deviation. Results: 61.5% of participants are male, 54.1% of them are 21-25 age range, and 52.3% of them are studying in social sciences. 43.1% of the participant students are coming from Middle East and 24.8% of them are coming from Caucasus and Central Asia. 78.9% of the students have come to our country with the student statue and 90.8% of them have stated that they haven’t received any scholarship from any institutions. According to the obtained results, foreign students have stated that they haven’t been discriminated by the university staff and professors in more than 90% rate. Participants have stated that they haven’t seen discrimination by their friends in 82.6% rate. Conclusion s: It has been seen that the foreign students have stated that their most important problem is to understand Turkish and to follow the courses in Turkish. It has also seen that meal problem is a mid-level problem for foreign students. Key words: Immigration, Foreign Students, the foreign student problems.
