Hemşirelerin Akılcı İlaç Kullanımına İlişkin Davranışlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract :ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, bir devlet hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelerin akılcı ilaç kullanımı ile ilgili davranışlarının incelenmesi ve akılcı ilaç kullanımını etkileyen unsurların saptanmasıdır. Yöntem: Araştırmada, hastanede çalışan tüm hemşirelere anket uygulanmış ve 326 anketin geri dönüşü sağlanabilmiştir. Bu çalışma, tanımlayıcı niteliktedir ve Ankara il merkezinde faaliyet gösteren bir kamu hastanesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada veriler, “Hastane Hemşire Değerlendirme Anketi” kullanılarak araştırmacılar tarafından toplanmıştır.   Araştırmada verilerin analizinde ki-kare analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular: Bu araştırmada hemşirelerin %96.3’ünün hasta için yapılan ilaç taleplerinde istenmeyen bir durum olması durumunda doktor ya da eczacı ile iletişime geçtikleri, %83.7’sinin uygulamadan önce hastanın ilaç-besin alerjisi öyküsünü her zaman sorguladığı, %78.5’inin kullanılmayan ilaçları eczaneye teslim ettiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca hemşirelerin %84’ü ihtiyaç duyulduğunda kullanılmak üzere bulundurulan ilaçların saklama koşullarına uygun sakladığı, %96.6’sının ilaçların son kullanım tarihi takibi yaptığı, %90.8’inin ise hastaya ilaçlarla ilgili eğitim verdiği ve %51.2’sinin beklenmeyen yan etkilerin bildirimini yaptığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmada ayrıca toplam çalışma süresi, hizmet içi eğitim alma durumu ve çalışılan birimin akılcı ilaç davranışlarında önemli olan değişkenler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışma doğrultusunda hemşirelerin akılcı ilaç kullanma davranışlarının geliştirilmesi gereken yönlerinin olduğu söylenebilir.   Anahtar Kelimeler: Akılcı İlaç Kullanımı; Hemşire; Hastane ABSTRACT The Assessment of Nurse Behaviours Regarding Rational Drug Use Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the factors effecting rational drug use by examining the rational medicine usage of nurses serving in a state hospital. Methods: In the research, questionnaires were applied to all nurses and a total of 326 usable questionnaires were obtained. This study was descriptive and was conducted in a public hospital operating in the city center of Ankara. The data in the study was obtained by researchers using the “Hospital Nurse Assessment Questionnaire”. Chi-square analysis was used to analyse the data.   Results: : In this research it was determined that 96. 3% of the nurses contacted a physician or a chemist when there is an adverse situation in the medicine request for patients, 83.7% always questioned the patient’s medicine-food allergy past before application and 78.5% returned the unused drug to the pharmacy. Furthermore, it was determined that, 84% of the nurses stored the drug in conformity with the storage requirements in order to use when needed, 96.6% monitored the expiry dates of the drug, 90.8% trained the patient regarding the drug and 51.2% made notifications on the unexpected adverse effects. Total employment period, in service training status and the variables of the department of service have been found to be important factors affecting the nurses’ behaviours on rational drug use. Conclusion: In the direction of this study it can be said that the nurses included within this study need improvement on some aspects of their rational drug use.
