Abstract :This study’s novel smart and sustainable supplier scorecard is based on the best-worst method-enhanced balanced scorecard approach for supplier assessment and monitoring. The proposed smart and sustainable supplier scorecard evaluates suppliers in six dimensions: performance, quality management, risk analysis, environmental management, smartness, and legitimacy. Quantitative indicators and metrics calculate each dimension. The smart and sustainable supplier scorecard is designed for businesses to assess and monitor their suppliers’ performance regarding digitization and sustainability and evaluate strategies and initiatives that meet their objectives and targets. Furthermore, we present a case study showing the applicability of the smart and sustainable supplier scorecard. The proposed approach will give organizations a holistic view of their suppliers, allowing them to achieve digitization and sustainability goals. Finally, we discuss the potential benefits and managerial implications of the smart and sustainable supplier scorecard. Keywords : Supplier assessment, Supplier monitoring, Risk management, Smart and sustainable supply chain management, Balanced scorecard, Best-worst method
