Abstract :The aim of this study was obtained the best linear regression equation for body weight insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(BW); through body measurements in 58 heads of Sumba Ongole insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SO); cattle raised at the breeding centre insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PT. Karya Anugerah Rumpin);. Total of 17 heads males and 41 heads females were used in this study. Three body measuremens of withers height insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WH);, body length insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(BL); and heart girth insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(HG); were in this study. The average of ages, BW, WH, BL and HG in SO cattle were 588.47±186.78 hari, 247.86±96.94 kg; 116.86±17.14 cm, 121.34±15.63 cm and 150.38±26.08 cm respectively. The highest coefficient of determinaton value insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(R2=0.89); was reached in linear regression using HG variable. Three body measurements in this study were non-collinearity and reveals that the linear regression in this study were accurate. The T-test analysis was showed that effect of sex to the cattle performance was not significant and reveals that the linear regression in this study can be performed in SO population. It was concluded that linear regression equation of BW = 3.50 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(HG); - 278,53 can be used as the predictor formula for SO cattle at about 588 days of age. Keywords : Sumba Ongole, Body weight, Body measurements, Coefficient of determination, Linear regression
