Abstract :Bu çalışmada 2005:01-2015:06 dönemi için Türkiye ekonomisinde hasıladaki artışların işsizlik üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla ARDL ve NARDL yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada tahmin edilen modele fiyat değişkeni de ilave edilmiştir. Hasılanın işsizlik üzerine etkisinin asimetrik olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Fiyatlar ile işsizlik arasındaki ilişki ise simetriktir. Hasıla artışlarının uzun dönemde işsizliği anlamlı olarak etkilediği, kısa dönemde ise etkinin simetrik olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. For this purpose both ARDL and NARDL methods were employed. The price variable is also included in the fitted model. Results revealed that the impact of output on unemployment is asymmetric, whereas the relationship between prices and unemployment is symmetrical. The estimation results also indicated that output increases significantly affected unemployment in the long run, while the corresponding relationship is symmetrical in the short run.
