Abstract :ÖZET 17. yüzyıl başında Osmanlı tahtına çıkan Sultan I.Ahmed devrinin belli ba~lı olayları, İran ve Avusturya sava~ıarı ile Celali isyanlarıdır. Bununla beraber, denizlerde de önemli faaliyetlerde bulunulmuş, ülkeyi çevreleyen denizlerde 16. yüzyılda kurulan hakimiyet ve sağlanan emniyet devam ettirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Runun için Osmanlı donanması hemen her sene Akdeniz'de sefere çıkmış ve hayli mühim ınuharebelerde bulunmuştur, imparatorluk sahillerine taaıTUZ eden İspanya, Toskana, Malta ve F10ransa gemileri ile mliteaddit çarpışmalar olmu~; zaferler kazanılmış, mağlubiyetler alınmıştır. Karadeniz'de de Kazakların Sinop baskını lizerine bir sefer düzenlenmiştir. Bütün bu faaliyetler, donanmanın durumu, başarı ve başarısızlıkları bu makalenin konusudur. Bu bilgiler Türk denizcilik tarihi araştırmaları bakımından önem taşır. ABSTRACT Wars with Iran and Austria and Celali revolts constitue the most important eveııts of the era of Sultan Ahmet i who suceeded to the throne at the bcgenning of 17th century. However, same important steps have beeıı taken in the seas and domination and security iıı ıhe seas in the i 6th century surrounding the country have been kept. For this very reason, the Ottoman navy has staıted to cruises and aııended some prominent seawars. Numerous wars Iıuve been ıaken place wiıh the ships of Spain, Toscana, Malta and Florance which allacked ıhe coasıs of empire; ıhey have been botll victorious and defeaıed. A cruise has beeıı sıarted in Black Sea due to an aııack of Khazaks ıo Sinop. All ıhese activities, the general siıııation of the navy, victories and defeats consıiıuıe the subject of this article. The information mentioned plays a prominent role from ıhe point of view of the research of Turkish naval history.
