Abstract :In this study the possibility of using pheromone traps against California Red Scale insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(C.R.S.);, Aonidiella aurantii insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Maskell); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hom.: Diaspididae);, the main pest of citrus fruits, was examined. In 1995 and 1996 the male flight periods and four peak points were determined. There was a significant correlation between trapped males and leave-fruit C.R.S. populations. By the use of pheromone traps the unobserved C.R.S. population can be determined in the orchard. The most suitable application time could be determined properly from the IPM point of view. Also mass trapping for C.R.S. was not found to be a promising method according to effectiveness and application cost. Keywords : Citrus fruits, IPM, California Red Scale Aonidiella aurantii Maskell, , Pheromone trap
