Abstract :The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships between penetration resistance and certain soil properties, and to develop regression equations based on these relationships for predicting penetration resistance. Field studies were conducted on four different Entisol soils in plains in the Konya regions. Below 0.2 mm, pore-size distribution was found to be positively relatd to soil penetration resistanca and bulk density. Above 50 mm, pro-size distribution was found to be negatively related to soil penetration resistance and total porosity.
