Abstract :The present study was undertaken to determine the relationship between Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(MRSA); strains isolated from various clinical specimens in Gülhane Military Medical Academy, in Ankara, Turkey. In 1997, at this hospital, the percentage of S. aureus among all nosocomial isolates was 20% and the percentage of MRSA among these S. aureus isolates was 51%. Both sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SDS-PAGE); and Native-Page insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(N-PAGE); were used for typing MRSA isolates which have common antibiotic susceptibility test results. MRSA isolates were also evaluated according to the whole-cell proteins insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WCPs); and filtrate proteins insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FPs);. Using these methods, we concluded that all of the MRSA strains are from the same clonal group. These results are consistent with the results of our previous study. Keywords : Turk J Biol, 24, 2000, , 809 816 Turk J Biol, vol 24, iss 4
