Synthesis, spectral, and thermoanalytical studies on the new heterobimetallic [Mg(II)-Ti(IV)]-µ-oxoisopropoxide and its β -diketonates

Abstract :The new heterobimetallic [Mginsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(II);-Tiinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IV);]-m-oxoisopropoxide was synthesized on treatment of magnesium acetate with titaniuminsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IV); isopropoxide in refluxing decalin in 1:2 molar ratio and characterized by liberated isopropanol, elemental, spectral insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and mass);, thermal analysis, and molecular weight data. The reactions of [Mginsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(II);-Tiinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IV);]-m-oxoisopropoxide compound with b-diketones in different molar ratios insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1:1--1:4); yielded mono to tetra derivatives [{MgO2Ti2insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(OPri);6-nLn}] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(where n is 1--4 and L = acetylacetonate/benzoylacetonate anion);] of the m-oxo complex and were characterized by elemental, liberated isopropanol, and spectral analysis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IR and 1H and 13C NMR);.
