Abstract :The title compound, C16H12N2S2, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with Z = 4, a = 8.950 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5); Å, b = 9.141 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5); Å, c = 17.429 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5); Å and b = 93.638 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5);°. The benzimidazole ring is essentially planar. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C---H ... N and C---H ... p contacts.
