Abstract :From the roots of Verbascum lasianthum Boiss. ex Bentham 4 catalpol derivatives, 6-O-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(a-L-rhamnopyranosyl);-catalpol insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1);, verbascoside A [= 6-O-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4``-O-trans-p-methoxycinnamoyl);-a -L-rhamnopy- ranosylcatalpol] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2);, pulverulentoside I [= 6-O-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3``-O-acetyl-2``-O-trans-p-methoxycinnamoyl);-a -L-rham-nopyranosylcatalpol] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3);, and buddlejoside A5 [= 6-O-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2``-O-acetyl-3``-O-trans-p-methoxycinnamoyl);-a -L-rhamnopyranosylcatalpol] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4);, as well as aucubin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5); and an aucubin derivative, unduloside III [= 6-O-insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3``-O-trans-p-methoxycinnamoyl);- a-L-rhamnopyranosylaucubin] insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6);, were isolated and characterized. The structure elucidation of the compounds was established on the basis of spectroscopic evidence.
