Abstract :The production of iron powder from concentrated iron solutions obtained during surface finishing insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(pickling); carried out to produce zinc or tin coated thin sheets, was investigated. Goethite precipitation from the waste pickle liquors-dehydration-reduction method was used to produce iron powder. In the experiments, the optimum parameters of the chosen method were investigated. The iron powders produced had an average grain size of 4-5 mu m, and a specific surface area of 1.2 m2/g, and the product consisted of 99.75% Fe, 0.03% C, 0.015% P and 0.01% S.Keywords : Goethite, dehydration, reduction, iron powder
