Abstract :A regular fourth-order differential equation that depends quadratically on the eigenvalue parameter $\lambda$ is considered with classes of separable boundary conditions independent of $\lambda$ or depending on $\lambda$ linearly. Conditions are given for the problems to be Birkhoff regular.
