A Study on the Growth Properties and Livability of Tushin Lambs

Abstract :The birth weight and weaning weight of all the lambs were 4.35 kg, and 16.79 kg respectively. The weight at the beginning and end of the grazing period, and the total and daily weight gain of females on the pasture in were found to be 15.62 kg, 24.51 kg, 6.03 kg and 66.37g respectively. The values of survival rate in different periods were determined to be 95.2 percent until the 30th, 60th and 90th days. Tushin lambs showed as good a performance as Akkaraman and Morkaraman lambs reared in different environmental conditions.
