The Phenotypic and Genetic Parameters of Fattening Characteristics in the Ile de France x Akkaraman (G1) Crossbred Lambs

Abstract :In this research, the phenotypic parameters of fattening characteristics were determined and the of heritabilities of these traits were estimated in the Ile de France insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(IF); x Akkaraman insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(AK); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(G1); crossbreed male lambs. It was estimated that the widest genetic variation was daily live weight gain between the beginning of fattening and the 42nd and 56th day. It was concluded that the selection based on the daily live weight gain of the progenies to increase the meat yield in the IF X AK insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(G1); sheep can be successful.Keywords : Sheep, Male Lambs, Fattening Characteristics, Heritability
