Abstract :The article investigates the reasons for the creation and liquidation of the state of the Ingush people in the Soviet period of Russia’s development. Stalin’s voluntarism and his repressive policies were the main reason for the elimination of the Ingush Autonomous Region, and then deportation of the Ingush people, February 23, 1944 in northern Kazakhstan. Despite the exposure of Stalin’s personality cult, and the adoption of the law “About rehabilitation of repressed peoples” Ingush do not return the land taken from them for the benefit of Ossetia, as well as continue efforts to close the Ingush Republic, as it was in 1934. These processes demonstrate the stability of the totalitarian Stalinist policy towards the Caucasus. Keywords : the land issue, the concept of revolution associated key ideals of the Russian peasantry, Bolshevik internationalism
