Abstract :Özet Tarih-i Sanayi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Sanayi Tarihi); insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Esad, Tarih-i Sanayi, 1307/1891); isimli yapıt, Osmanlı Devletinin son dönem ilmiye sınıfına mensup önemli kişilerinden biri olan, Mahmud Esat’ın idadiler için ders kitabı olarak yazmış olduğu önemli eserlerden biridir. Kitapta, tarih öncesi insan topluluklarının faaliyetlerinden 19.yüzyıl sonuna kadar ki döneme ait sanat, sanayi ve bilim tarihinin önemli olay ve kişilerini incelemiştir. Makalemizde biz, Mahmud Esat’ın bu kitabını hangi yabancı düşünürün etkisinde kalarak yazdığını anlatmaya ayrıca ülkemiz sanat, sanayi, bilim tarihi açısından önemini göstermeye çalışacağız. Abstract ‘The History of Industry’, is one of the important works written by Mahmut Esat as a textbook for the idols, one of the most important figures of the late Ottoman period. In the book, he examined the important events and people of the history of art, industry and science from the activities of prehistoric human communities until the end of the 19th century. In our article, we will try to show the importance of Mahmut Esat in writing the book of this foreign thinker and the importance of our country in terms of art, industry and history of science.
