Abstract :Özet Bu çalışmada Cumhuriyetin kuruluş yıllarında nasıl bir tarih bilinci oluşturulmaya çalışıldığı üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmada önce bilinç ve tarih bilinci tanımları üzerinde kısaca durulmuş ardından da uluslaşma ve tarih yazımı arasındaki bağlantı gösterilerek buradan yeni bir ulus devlet olan Genç Cumhuriyetin oluşturmak islediği tarih bilincine geçilmiştir. Daha sonra bu tarih bilincinin oluşum sebep ve koşulları irdelenerek nihayet nasıl bir tarih bilinci amaçlandığı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: cumhuriyet, ulus, tarih, bilinç, tarih bilinci.   Abstract In this study, the historical consciousness which was tried to be formed during the first years of the Turkish Republic was studied focused on. Firstly, consciousness and the historical consciousness concepts were defined, then indicating the relationship between the nationalization and history writing, Ihe historical consciousness which is tried to be formed was explained. The formation grounds and circumstances of this consciousness were searched. And, finally, the historical consciousness which is aimed to reach was presented. Keywords: Republic, Nation, History.
