Abstract :ÖZET Modernitenin temel sorunlarından biri de \`özne\` ve \`kimlik\` sorunudur. Bu sorun sadece modernitenin değil, insanlık tarihi boyunca süregelen en temel sorunlardan biri olmuştur. Ancak bu sorun çağımızdaki kadar da karmaşık, parçalanmış, bunalımlı ve belirlenmişliğin içinde belirsiz bir hal yaşamamıştı. Kimlik sorununun birçok boyutu olmasına rağmen temelde bir özne, bilinç ve paradigma sorunudur. Modernitede özne ve kimlik, Aydınlanma ve onun hakim felsefesi tarafından şekillendiği için, her ikisi de bu felsefenin bilinç ve paradigması tarafından kurgulanmıştır. Fakat kurgulanmış olan bu kimlik hiçbir şekilde tarihsel-sosyal şartların öznesi değil, her açıdan modernitenin kendi değerlerinin öznesi ve kimliğidir. Bu bağlamda yeniden şekillenmiş olan bu kimlik içerisinde ölen özne de tarihsel-sosyal şartların öznesi değil, öncelikle modernitenin kendi öznesidir. Ancak bu ölüm, tarihsel-sosyal öznenin varoluş deneyimlerini sarsıp parçaladığından onu birçok bunalımların ve belirsizliğin içine itmiştir. Modern öznenin yaşamış olduğu bu duruma postmodernizm bir tepki olarak ortaya çıkmasına rağmen o da temelde modernizm içerisinde doğup gelişen bir eleştiri, adeta onun bir sürüp gitmesi olacağından özne ve kimliğin yaşamış olduğu durumlarından onları kurtaramamıştır. ABSTRACT The Death Of Tlte Subject In Modern Identity One of the major problems of modernity is the problem of subject and identity. It is not only a poblem of modernity, but also an important poblem which has been existing throughout the history. But, it has never been so complex, divided, depressed and indefinite in definiteness as today. However the problem of identity has various aspects, it is, in essence, a problem of subject, consious insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(perception); and paradigm. In modernity, as subject and identity were formed by \`Enlightenment\` and its philosophy, they were both theorised by the conscious insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(perception); and paradigm of this philosophy. This theorised theory is in no way used as subject of the historical-social conditions, an the contrary, it is the subject arid identity of the values of modernity. In this context, the wha died in this reformed identity is not a subject of the hictorical-social conditions but primarily of modernity. But, as this death weakens and breaks the existence experiences of the historical-social subject, it has led it to depression and indefmiteness. Although potmodcrnism appeared as a reaction to this condition of the modern subject. since it has been already a criticism which has developed within modernism, it could rescue neither the subject nor the identity from the conditions which they are in.
