Abstract :The purpose of this article is to examine al-M?tur?d?’s insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(d. 333/944); critique which was directed to Mu‘tazila’s aslah theory. First of all, I will deal with the Mu‘tazila’s way of proving their theory of aslah. Subsequently, I will analyse al-M?tur?d?’s criticism against the Mu‘tazila’s arguments for aslah. In conclusion, I will evaluate whether al-M?tur?d? is right and coherent in his objections and criticisms.
