Abstract :In this material - Energy security of the Kyrgyz Republic and the development of renewable energy sources - energy security and reduction of the vulnerability of the CD from the action of external climatic threats and issues of sustainability of energy supply through the use of solar energy; small rivers and streams , geothermal and biomass has been considered. The tasks of increasing the share of renewables to 20 % in the long term and solve the problem of diversification of energy sources and thus ensure the energy security of Kyrgyzstan as the country`s energy shortage has been set
