Abstract :Since the perceptions of threats have been revised and multiplexed across time, each theoretical tradition within International Security Studies has interpreted environmental threats and security very differently, advocating competing standing points to answer the essential questions of who or what is to be secured and what is to be secured against. Despite the diversity of academic studies on environmental security, more systematic work still needs to be done to explore the linkage between ecofeminism and security. Thus, this study firstly exhibits the evolution of different approaches to environmental security and consequently shows how the lens of ecofeminism provides transformative insight into the human and nature relationship for planetary security and justice.
