Abstract :Purpose:Using preservative urine tubes for urine analysis has been made a new era. A proportion of compounds in a preservative tube can be listed as follows: Sodium Propionate insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(94%);, ethylparaben insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5.6%); and chlorhexidine insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.4%);. Patients and Methods:We study the urinary tube containing preservative insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Becton-Dickinson, Franklin Lakes, USA); additives aimed to study whether the effect on some biochemical tests. 24-h urine samples insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(n=118); were obtained from outpatients for routine urine analysis. They were divided in to the two tubes: containing preservatives tubes and additive free tubes. Six biochemistry parameters insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(protein, calcium, urea, phosphorus, creatinine, microalbumin); were tested on Beckman Coulter AU680 analyzer. Results:Results: The results of phosphor in two urine samples were decreased significantly in all of the time points in stability studiesinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p= 0.02, p < 0.01);. Conclusion:Conclusion: We can conclude that tubes containing preservatives could be used to analyze biochemical parameters which were analyzed. But urine phosphor measurement with the additive tubes should be done promptly after delivery to the laboratory. Keywords : Additive, Biochemical test, Stability, Urine tube, Urine
