Abstract :Objective: The aim of this study was to determining the premenstrual syndrome vıolence and perceped stress level in girls a high school. Study Design: The descriptive study, conducted in a high school in Sivas City Center, was conducted on 207 girls students. The data were collected with \`Student Information Form\`, \`Premenstrual Syndrome Scale\` insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PMSS);, \`Perceived Stress Scale\` insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PSS);. Descriptive methods in the analysis of data, nonparametric tests in cases where variables are not normally distributed, post-hoc test was used to determine the difference between groups, and correlation test was used to determine the relationship between premenstrual syndrome insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(PMS); and perceived stress level. Results: 58.5% of the students participating in the research are aged 16 and over, 68.6% have regular menstruation. Considering the risk factors in the appearance of premenstrual symptoms, 94.7% of the students state that they consume sugary foods, 24.6% consume carbonated drinks and 46.4% exercise. In the premenstrual period, 78.3% of students have abdominal or groin pain, 65.2% low back pain, 44.9% skin problems, 51.7% fatigue, 51.2% emotional problems and 50.2% experience irritability. In coping with the symptoms, 35.3% of the students stated that they applied hot applications, 25.1% of them used drugs, 21.7% of them did not apply any of them and 18.8% of them did not know what to do to cope with the symptoms. According to the scale score that measures the severity of premenstrual symptoms, 50.7% of students have PMS symptoms. The perceived stress level in 63.3% of the students tends to increase and age insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.002);, class insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.002);, menstrual order insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.001);, carbonated beverage insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.015);, drug use status insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.043); and there is a significant relationship between perceived stress level. In addition, a positive and moderately significant relationship was found between PMSS and PSS insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(p=0.00; r=0.578);. Conclusion: The severity and perceived stress level of PMS symptoms are experienced in high school girls according to PMSS and PSS scores.
