Abstract :Recently, PET/CT has been used increasingly in the detection of pulmoner and mediastinal lesions. However, inflamatory and granulomatous diseases that show increased F-18 FDG uptake and have SUVmax values more than 2.5, such as aspergillosis, tuberculosis, Wegener granulomatosis and sarcoidosis may cause false positive results. In this case, F-18 FDG PET/BT imaging findings were presented in a patient with pulmonary sarcoidosis who was investigated for primarily suspected malignancy
