Abstract :Introduction: Paraneoplastic syndromes are defined as symptoms and signs which occur as a result of remote effects of primary or metastatic tumors. In this case report, a patient with erythema annulare centrifugum EAS associated with lung cancer is presented. Case: A fifty-two year old male with an admission history of diffuse reddish itchy skin rash. Diffuse, patchy erythematous lesions with undefined borders tending to unite and exfoliative peeling of the skin were observed on whole body of the patient at physical examination. The appearance was defined as ‘figured erythema’. A cavitary mass lesion with a dimension of 4x5 cm having homogenous density were observed at chest X-ray at suprahilar region of the left lung’s upper zone. A cavitary lesion having thick wall with a diameter of 4.5 cm bordered with upper lobe bronchus localized at left upper lobe suprahilar region and parenchymal micronodules were defined at Chest CT. A mucosal lesion with irregular surface and undefined borders were observed at bronchoscopy. Squamous lung cancer was diagnosed with histopathologic examination of the lung mucosal biopsy specimen. Figured erythema EAS was diagnosed by physical examination and skin punch biopsy of the patient. Result: Cutaneous paraneoplastic syndrome may be a first sign of malignancy as in our case report. Succesful diagnosis and treatment of paraneoplastic syndromes is important as this can lead to early diagnosis for cancer and improves the life quality in these patientsKeywords : Non small cell lung carcinoma, cutaneous manifestation, erythema, paraneoplastic syndrome
