Abstract :Aim: In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the graduate theses published on child abuse in terms of forensic sciences in Turkey.Methods: In this study, which was a descriptive study in the screening model of the postgraduate theses published between 1989-2016 in YOK national database on child abuse and neglect. The study was evaluated in terms of forensic sciences by classifying it according to the years, universities, institutes, areas, subjects and contents. Results: It was determined that 160 theses were published between 1989-2016. Of these, 109 were for master’s degree, 29 were for doctoral, and 22 were specialist theses. When the contents of the theses were examined, it was determined that all theses prepared in the field of law on child abuse were examined in terms of sexual abuse in the Turkish Penal Code. The increase in the number of theses published on this topic in 2010 and after is remarkable. It is determined that child abuse and neglect is not well known by the teachers until 2011 and by the healthcare workers until 2012.Conclusion: It is considered that more detailed information on education about child abuse to educators, health workers and parents is required
