Abstract :İLKÖGRETİM 7. SINIF FEN VE TEKNOLOJi DERSiNE AiT BiR UYGULAMA ÇALISMASI: PORTFOLYO Bu arastırmanın amacı; ilkögretim 7. sınıf ögrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde yer alan “Maddenin Yapısı ve Özellikleri” ünitesinin portfolyo uygulaması sonucunda ögrencilerin, Fen ve Teknoloji dersine karsı hem motivasyonlarını hem de tutumlarını incelemek, ayrıca ögrencilerin portfolyoya iliskin görüslerini de belirlemektir. Bu çalısma, Kargınısıklar lkögretim Okulu’nda ögrenim gören 29 ögrenciyle yapılmıstır. Ögrenciler, ögretmenlerinin ve arastırmacının rehberliginde portfolyo uygulamasıyla dersi islemislerdir. Arastırma, özel durum çalısması yöntemiyle yürütülmüstür. Veriler, uygulama sonunda ögrencilerle gerçeklestirilen mülakat, Fen ve Teknoloji tutum ve motivasyon ölçekleriyle elde edilmistir. Ögrencilerin portfolyo hakkındaki görüslerinin alınmasında yarı yapılandırılmıs görüsme formu kullanılmıstır. Nitel veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemiyle, nicel veriler ise, SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak degerlendirilmistir. Arastırmanın sonucunda, portfolyonun, ögrencilerin Fen ve Teknoloji dersine karsı motivasyonlarında ve tutumlarında olumlu yönde etkili oldugu gözlenmistir. Motivasyonlarında anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılık bulunurken, tutularındaki artısın anlamlı düzeyde olmadıgı gözlenmistir. Sonuç olarak, portfolyonun bir degerlendirme aracı olarak sadece Fen ve Teknoloji dersi için degil, aynı zamanda diger dersler için de kullanılması önerilmektedir. PERFORMANCE APPLICATION OF THE 7TH GRADE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COURSE: PORTFOLIO The aim of this research is to observe both the attitudes and the motivations of the 7th grade students to Science and Technology course after the application of the portfolio practice of the unit “Structure and Features of Matter”, and to define the students’ ideas about portfolio. This research was applied on 29 students in Kargınısıklar Primary School. Students studied with the portfolio practice and with the guidance of their teachers and the researcher. The research was conducted with the case study method. Data was collected with the Science and Technology attitude and motivation measures and interview with the students after the portfolio practice. While taking the students’ thoughts about portfolio semi-structured interview form was used. Qualitative data were evaluated with descriptive by analysis method and quantitative data were evaluated by using the program “Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)”. At the end of the research, it was observed that the portfolio is positively effective for the students’ motivation and attitude to Science and Technology course. It was observed that while there is a meaningful difference in their motivation, the increase in their attitude is not at a significant level. Consequently, it is recommended to use portfolio as an assessment tool not only for Science and Technology course, but also for the other courses.
