Abstract :This study evaluated the risk of acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder during the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This descriptive and correlational study was conducted among Turkey residents, and the study sample consisted of 567 participants. Data were collected using the Impact of Events Scale–Revised and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist for DSM-5. Results showed that respondents had high psychological distress and risk of acute stress disorder, and severe post-traumatic stress disorder symptom. A strong and positive relationship was found between risk of acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
