Abstract :Designing and developing pediatric formulations is a challenging task as different patients have varied needs. Drug administration, flexibility, patient compliance, palatability, toxicity are the factors that are required to be considered during the development of pediatric preparations. To overcome the drawbacks of conventional drug delivery systems, the researchers have focused on various innovative methods such as novel drug delivery systems (NDDS). NDDS focuses on the formulation and development of pediatric formulations considering tolerability, efficacy and safety of active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients.
