Abstract :Özet İlk sanat yaratmalarından günümüze sanatın kurumsallaşması adına geçirdiği evreler incelendiğinde; bazı yol ayrımlarının köklü dönüşümlere neden olduğu ve sanatın bir plastik kurgu olarak özerk bir iletişim aracı olma yolunda bir yapılanma izlediği görülecektir. Örneğin; Ortaçağ ve Yeniçağ bu anlamda birbirinden çok farklı iki tarihsel dönemdir. İnsana, evrene, doğaya karşı iki karşıt kültür, iki ayrı evren tasarımıdır. Ortaçağın sonlarına doğru ekonomik, siyasi, dinsel, sosyal reformlarla her alanda olduğu gibi sanatta da devrim niteliğinde değişimlere rastlıyoruz. Venedik Okulu, sanatın özerkleşmesi sürecine bu anlamda önemli katkıları olan köşe başlarından biridir. Okulun sanatçılarından Titian\`ın çalışmalarından birini çözümlemek iyi bir örnek olacaktır. Anahtar Sözcükler: Ortaçağ, Yeniçağ, Venedik Okulu, Titian.   Abstract When the institutionalization process of art is examined from the first artistic creations to our day; the facts that certain detours caused substantial changes and that art, as a plastic design, has been constructed to be an independent vehicle can easily be seen. For example, the Middle and the New ages are completely different historical periods, different cultures of the human being, the universe, and the nature. Towards the end of the Middle age, we see revolutions in art just as the reforms in economy, politics, religion, and society. In this respect, the Venetian School is one of the landmarks that contributed to the process of art\`s independence. Deconstructing a work of one of the School\`s artists, Titian, would be deconstructing that period in all aspects. Key Words: Middle age, New age, the Venetian School, Titian.
