Abstract :This research was designed as a randomized controlled trial to identify the effect of laughter yoga on the psychological well-being of women diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. The research was conducted with 70 patients (35 patients in the intervention group and 35 patients in the control group) having treatment at the oncology service of a training and research hospital in western Turkey from 1 October 2021 to 1 April 2022. The research data were collected with the Demographic Survey Form and the Psychological Well-Being Scale. Upon the evaluation of measurements for intervention and control groups in the research, it was found that intervention and control groups obtained similar mean pretest scores from the Psychological Well-Being Scale, besides, the mean post-test Psychological Well-Being Scale score of patients in the control group was significantly lower than their mean pretest Psychological Well-Being Scale score (p<0.05) and the mean post-test Psychological Well-Being Scale score of patients in the intervention group was significantly higher than their mean pretest Psychological Well-Being Scale score (p<0.05). In light of research results, it is recommended that laughter yoga be generally integrated into nursing care and practiced to enhance oncology patients’ psychological well-being. Also, it is recommended that settings be created at oncology polyclinics in hospitals and cancer early diagnosis, screening, and training centers for nurses holding the laughter yoga certificate. Keywords : Kahkaha yogası, jinekolojik kanser, psikolojik iyi oluş
