Abstract :Özet: Farklı sosyal dokular kendilerine özgü yaşam biçimleri ve değer sistemleri oluşturabilmektedir. Bu anlamda Türkiye’de yaşanmış olan kentleşme deneyimi de yeni sosyal yapılar ve ilişki örüntüleri meydana getirmiştir. Ortaya çıkan yeni formlar çoğu zaman kötümser bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bakış açısı toplumun manevi değerlerinde meydan gelen bir tür “yozlaşma”yı gündeme getirmiş ve zamanla yaygın bir kanaat halini almıştır. Bu noktadan hareketle, kentleşme sürecinde ahlaki değerlerin nasıl etkilendiğine dair bir tasvir yapmayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada “komşuluk”, “büyüklere saygı”, “helal kazanç”, “yardımseverlik” gibi ahlaki değerleri üzerinde durulmuştur. 370 katılımcıya ulaşılarak yapılan anket çalışmaları sonucunda “komşuluk” ve “yardımseverlik” değerlerinde çok küçük oranlarda da olsa kır-kent farklılaşmasının olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak bu küçük oranlar, söz konusu ahlaki değerlerin benimsenmesi ve uygulanma çabası noktasında ortaya çıkan toplumsal özenin ve ilginin büyüklüğünü perdeleyememektedir. Çalışma verilerine göre, toplumumuzda bu değerler, sağlam konumunu hala muhafaza etmektedir. Moral Values in Urbanization: A Comparative Research on İstanbul and Antalya Abstract: Different social textures can build specific life forms and value systems. In this sense, Turkish urbanization experience, brought forth new social structures and relational patterns. Emerged new forms are evaluated mostly from a pessimist perspective.This perspective, which became with the time a common opinion, revived the change of moral values as a kind of degeneration.In this study, we will query this common prespective.For this purpose, we will describe how the urbanization process effects moral values and treat topics such as “neighbourghood”, “respect for elders”, “honest earnings” and “benevolence”. Outcome from the survey made with 370 participants indicates that by the values “neighbourhood” and “benevolence” are very small differential proportions between country and city. However, these small proportions to not cover the adoptation of moral values and the largeness of the social attention and interest of practicing it. According to survey data, these values preserve its durable position in our society.
